Arrest in Drug Trafficking and Firearms Investigation

The Saint John Police Street Crime Integrated Enforcement Unit (IEU) have made an arrest following a drug trafficking investigation.
On September 04, 2025, the IEU arrested a 19-year-old male without incident.
As a result of the investigation, the following evidence was seized:
- Fentanyl – 718 grams (street value $143,600)
- Cocaine – 2431 grams (street value $243,100)
- Crystal meth – 976 grams (street value $29,280)
- Cash – $38,545
- Three 9mm handguns loaded with ammunition
- Multiple cell phones
- 9mm ammunition
The accused appeared in court September 05, 2025, and was remanded into custody until September 08, 2025, for a bail hearing. The following is a list of charges:
- Possession for the purpose of trafficking fentanyl
- Possession for the purpose of trafficking methamphetamines (crystal meth)
- Possession for the purpose of trafficking cocaine
- Proceeds of crime over $5000
- Three Counts of unlawful storage of firearms
- Three Counts of possession of a restricted firearm with readily accessible ammunition
- Three counts of possession of a weapon without being the holder of a license
The Integrated Enforcement Unit (IEU) consists of officers from the Saint John Police, Kennebecasis Regional Police Force, New Brunswick Justice and Public Safety and the Royal Canadian Mounted Police. Their mandate is to target drug trafficking, weapons, and organized-crime offences.
