(Update #2) 5th Annual Holiday in a Box Campaign

Update #2: Tuesday, December 16, 2025, at 3:42p.m.

The Saint John Police are proud to announce that our 2025 Holiday in a Box was another huge success!

On Tuesday, December 16, 2025, the Saint John Police turned over 650 boxes and 270 additional gift cards to our five priority neighbourhoods including the Crescent Valley Resource Centre, Carleton Community Centre, P.U.L.S.E. Inc. Saint John, The ONE Change Inc., and The Waterloo Village Neighbourhood Association.

“Once again, the citizens of Saint John, members of the Saint John Police, sports teams, schools, individuals, and businesses stepped up to the challenge and with great generosity delivered for those vulnerable adults in Saint John who may very well have gone without something special over the holidays. On behalf of the Saint John Police, please accept our sincere appreciation and gratitude.” Chief R.M. Bruce

In the coming days, boxes will be distributed to vulnerable adults in need across our city.

The 5th Annual Holiday in a Box Campaign is underway with only one week left to go. While we have received some generous donations, the Saint John Police is calling on our community for help to reach our goal and make this holiday season brighter for vulnerable adults in our city.

This campaign provides essential items and small comforts to those who may otherwise go without.  For a list of ideas on what contribution you can make, please visit: Holiday in a Box | Saint John Police Force

Contributions can be made until December 15 at 4:30 p.m. and will help bring warmth, dignity, and joy to those who need it most.

The Saint John Police would like to thank you for your generosity and support.

The Saint John Police are proud to launch our 5th annual Holiday in a Box campaign.

Last year was another great success. We collected 600 boxes and 225 gift cards.  Our priority neighbourhoods in Saint John are once again teaming up with the Saint John Police to provide some holiday cheer for less fortunate adults in our community. The goal is to find a shoe box or similar sized box and fill it with essentials as a gift to someone in need.

“We are challenging Saint John residents, schools, sports teams, businesses, and community organizations to fill as many shoe boxes as possible. This is a small and kind gesture of generosity for those adults who are often forgotten during the holiday season.” Chief R.M. Bruce

Once collected, the boxes will be wrapped and presented to the representatives of each of our five priority neighbourhoods including the Crescent Valley Resource Centre, Carleton Community Centre, P.U.L.S.E. Inc. Saint John, The ONE Change Inc., and The Waterloo Village Neighbourhood Association.

Boxes can be filled with day-to-day essentials that we often take for granted. Some suggestions include toothpaste, toothbrushes, deodorant, soap, socks, gloves, toques, bus passes, and gift cards. For a full list of ideas, please visit: Holiday in a Box | Saint John Police Force

The holiday boxes can be dropped off at Saint John Police headquarters at 1 Peel Plaza, Monday through Friday between 8:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.  The campaign will conclude on December 15, 2025.

Together a safe, secure, healthy community
